I’m honored to serve St. Catherine’s of Alexandria. I’ve been fortunate to have two childhood dreams fulfilled, being a radio announcer and a priest. Both came true and ironically from a guy who often stutters.
Starting at 16, I had the weekend shifts at WOMT and learned the radio trade. As a priest, I hosted a call-in talk show called “Homeward Bound” on WTMJ, Sunday nights for twelve years. “Rock of Ages,” playing “real” rock music with a Christian message, aired on then called WKTI for ten years on Sunday mornings.
A chaplain at Alexian Village was my longest ministry, twenty-two years. Quick parish list, if there are any connections: St. Gregory the Great, St. Pius X, St. Romans, Archdiocese Communication Department, St. Mary’s downtown hospital, help out priest at St. Sebastian for eighteen years, St. Bernard/Christ King, Queen of Apostles and now “The church on the hill.”
Manitowoc is my hometown, the fourth of five children. Check out www.joejagodensky.com.
